HAYDEN HOMES TO DEDICATE SECOND PARK TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE AND DONATE GEAR TO BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB

Moses Lake and Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce to Join in Maple Grove Park Dedication; Paver Painting activity open to all

Moses Lake, Wash., July 17, 2023—Hayden Homes, the largest private home builder in the Northwest, is thrilled to announce the dedication of the newly completed Maple Grove Park to the city of Moses Lake. Community members and local media are invited to attend the event on Thursday, July 20, at 11:30 a.m. at Maple Grove Park, which is located at the intersection of Grape Drive NE and Maple Drive NE in Moses Lake.

Maple Grove Park features grassy open space, a swing set, play structure, picnic tables, benches and a walking/riding path, providing opportunities for active and passive leisure activities throughout the more than half-acre park.

Leaders from Moses Lake—including Mayor Don Myers, city councilors and Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Director Doug Coutts—as well as the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce will join Hayden Homes in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate this special occasion.

“Moses Lake is so fortunate to have a community partner in Hayden Homes,” said Moses Lake Mayor Don Myers. “This is the second park the company has dedicated to the city in Moses Lake, and these gifts speak to the value the team at Hayden Homes puts on building a strong community. They understand that quality of life matters to families and have donated this park to ensure that folks can get out for a game of soccer or football, or just to be together. It’s a wonderful gift and we are so grateful.”

Notable highlights of the park dedication will include:

• Charitable Donation: At the dedication Hayden Homes will donate gear and equipment to the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin. Donations include basketballs, soccer balls, hula hoops, outdoor games and a new carpet ball table to support programming for more than 300 kids enrolled in the club’s summer programs.
• Food and Refreshments: Following the dedication ceremony and charitable donation, all attendees will be invited to enjoy food and refreshments.
• Paver Painting Activity: Community members will have the opportunity to paint and decorate 40 12” x 12” pavers that will be installed around the picnic tables at the park. Youth from the nearby Longview Elementary location of the Boys and Girls Club will arrive at 11 a.m. to create their own designs on the pavers, but all community members are invited to participate in this fun and unique opportunity to make a lasting impression on their community.
• Unveiling of Mobile Rec Ambulance: Moses Lake is excited to show off the city’s new Mobile Rec Ambulance, which will be on site for the event.
