WHAT YOU GET TO DO
As the Production Administrator, your  position is integral to support the field personnel in their homebuilding endeavors.  It is imperative that you develop and nurture strong relationships with department co-workers, Project Managers, other departments, external partners and resources to ensure the successful delivery and timely completion of our homes.
To be successful, you must be interested in learning about every aspect that goes into building a house and how much it costs. By learning all aspects, you can be instrumental in ensuring Hayden Homes builds the highest quality home for the lowest possible cost.
In the role of  Production Administrator, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform the initial review of house bill of materials (BOM) prior to commencement of production.
  • Interact with Project Managers on a daily basis, providing support throughout the entire homebuilding process.
  • Generate and review job costs for accuracy in material and labor costs across a range of floor plans and options.
  • Maintain list of subcontractors for assigned communities and jobs.
  • Generate and release purchase orders and variance purchase orders as needed.
  • Manage and review variance purchase orders and report discrepancies as needed.
  • Order and track supplier shipments to job sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • One – two years of previous administrative or data entry experience is preferred.
  • Industry experience in Construction/Home Building is strongly desired.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, to various audiences.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and work under time constraints with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with team members to produce quality work within tight timeframes while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs: Word, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Travel:
Approximately 5% annually within local and regional areas. Employee will use their own vehicle.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet in the office.
Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role but occasionally is required to reach with arms and use hands and fingers to grab, pull, push, lift and at times will need to stand, crouch, crawl, stoop, and bend.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds or more.
