HAYDEN HOMES TO REFURBISH ST. VINCENT DE PAUL FACILITY WITH DONATED TIME AND MATERIALS
40-50 team members will participate in a major volunteer effort on July 16, and present the nonprofit with a surprise donation at the event
Eugene, Ore., July 12, 2024 —Dozens of employees from Hayden Homes and Simplicity by Hayden Homes will gather at the St. Vincent de Paul Eugene Service Station from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, to refurbish the facility and conduct a clean up on the property.
The 40-50 team members will utilize materials donated to St. Vincent de Paul to spruce up the service center, which is a welcoming day shelter where adults experiencing homelessness can access food, day shelter, clothing, laundry, showers, supplies and stabilizing assistance during personal crises.
The Hayden Homes volunteers will repaint much of the interior of the social services hub and also tend to maintenance on the outside of the building such as weed pulling and freshening up the landscaping. First Story, a nonprofit founded by Hayden Homes in 1998, will also make a surprise donation to St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County at the event, including a big check presentation.
“St. Vincent de Paul is so grateful to partner with Hayden Homes on these much-needed improvements to our facility,” said Stefani Roybal, philanthropy director for St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County. “With this support from Hayden Homes to tackle critical maintenance, we’re able to keep dollars focused on what matters most–assisting those in need with our innovative programs and services.”
The project and donation is a celebration of Hayden Homes’ mission to Give As You Go™ so together we build a strong community and lead fulfilled lives.
