1
Public/Private Partnerships

We specialize in public-private partnerships that build housing efficiently and on-budget. We work hand-in-hand with cities, counties, nonprofits, and community land trusts to help implement solutions that work. These partnerships have resulted in hundreds of additional housing units that serve the workforce.

2
Workforce Development

In order to build more homes, we must address our construction workforce shortage. Hayden Homes is bringing together industry leaders and educators to train new construction workers, and advocate for more funding at the state and local level.

3
First Story

First Story, a nonprofit founded by Hayden Homes in 1998, provides a path to economic and social mobility for under-resourced populations. Their affordable home loan program provides a 30-year, zero-interest loan that requires no down payment or specific credit score.

4
Innovative Housing Types

Hayden Homes has developed a variety of housing types that offer more units on less land—helping us house more neighbors affordably throughout the region.

  • Nine-plexes
  • Triplexes
  • Single-family cottages
  • Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU)
  • Workforce housing plans for seasonal workers

Housing Production Advisory Council

Deb Flagan is serving as the chair of the land availability committee of Oregon Governor Tina Kotek's Housing Production Advisory Council. The Council is making recommendations to the Governor, state agency leaders and legislators on key improvements to Oregon land use laws, infrastructure funding mechanisms, code improvements and more that will help to generate more housing supply across the state.
